He Made Me the Way I Am

We will talk and get along.
I’ll say I really like you
you will say it back,
You will fall in love
Just like I did.

People may warn you
I'm only going to make you fall for me.
Then I'm going to break your little heart,
Smash it into a million pieces,
Set it on fire,
Stamp it into the ground,
And laugh in your face.

Just like he did to me and does to others.

I will make arguments for no reason,
Act like the victim,
I will cry in your arms and claim you hurt me,
You will apologize profusely because you don't want to lose me,
I will turn away from you and smile to myself as I fall asleep,
Knowing I have got you,
Right where I want you,
To cause maximum pain.

I see why he does it now!
Destroying people’s hearts I mean!
It helps! It helps to heal your own heart.
To be strong enough to hurt others you have to be able to numb your own heart,
As soon as I break someone’s heart I feel better!

The best cure? To hurt the one that hurt me!
I know it is sick, twisted and harsh but he deserves it,
So now to get over him and heal my own heart I will be as selfish as him,
I will cheat and break hearts and stamp on them and burn them into the ground.
Until my heart is healed and safe again.
Then I can be me again but not till then.

I was so sweet,
I was so loving,
I was so childish,
I was so naive

Now?

Now I am just like him.

He made me this way.
