He Knows
he knows
my motive is clear
because i let it show.
oh he knows
i could never stay.
my heart is ever changing
and i cannot change my way.
i never fought enough to prove
you were the one i adored.
i tried to show you
the hidden pieces
but it was too late.
i am no longer yours.
he knows
what i choose to tell him.
the rest is body language
or the heat when we lie limb to limb.
we could start a fire.
he knows, it shows.
it's a teenage romance
tucked away for when we see
what love and loss truly mean.
