He Holds Her

He holds her tight in his embrace
Her stomach flutters
Her words turn to stutters
Only warm air fills the space between her face

He holds her and will never let her go
Chills are sent down her spine
She thinks, “And he’s all mine”
Oh, but there’s so much that she doesn’t know

He holds her for dear life
She loves him with all her heart
The worst thing would be for them to be apart
But soon, he shall make her his wife
