He Gave Her a Book

Old Mrs Jenkin clapped her hands with glee,
so pleased she'd entered contests listed 'free' -
she'd won a prize, the first she'd ever had.
Although not into books, but still as glad,
she read the title, thumbed the pages then,
and blushed at pics of naked gals and men.
The Kama Sutra wasn't quite her thing
(though placing first had made her spirit sing).
it wasn't something for the vicar's eyes,
but Mrs Jenkin's buried with that prize.

Oh, my mother played bingo every night, Jack. Our lives revolved around the bingo schedules :) Of course, this book is probably not what she expected to receive. Hope staring at the risque photos didn't contribute to her death. LOL Very funny entry! Best wishes for a win. Hugs, Carolyn

Hilarious Jack, perhaps Mrs Jenkin thought the book she prized would keep her soul and spirit alive. All the best… Belle

Too cute Jack. It was the first thing she ever won but she couldn't show to anyone so she was buried with it. Love this. Good job. God Bless, JB
