He Came To Save the World

He came to save the world.
Jesus? Some asked. The nonbelievers scoffed.
I was shocked. At twelve I thought we were all of the same idea.

He put the world on his back
Carried it to safety, gave me a wink as he walked us into the storm.
Aren’t we going the wrong way? I wondered.

My thoughts were answered instantly.
There is no wrong way, all paths lead to the source.
Everyone believes in something.

Faith is faith, and love is love
And nothing else matters.
I relaxed and closed my eyes, feeling loved.
