He Came As a Child

A perfect image of Gods’ perfect love, the only begotten, sent down from above, Submissive and meek; accepting this life, with no pride, no malice,no envy, nor strife. Perfectly formed, in a manger He slept, accepting so fully, God’s promise He kept. Dependent on earthly parents care, yet, sensing His Heavenly Father there. Hair swirling gently at the top of His crown, shiny and soft as feather’s down. Adorned only in swaddling clothes, His wondrous glory with beauty glows, Perfect peace in the midst of strife, He came to fulfill a perfect life. Descending to us as a babe so small, to become the example for us all. Teaching us that if we are meek, we’ll find the Kingdom for which we seek. “A child shall lead them” your word has read, and “Of such are the Kingdom” You have said. Thus as a Babe you came to earth, bestowing on us the gift of new birth. I thank thee Lord, that on that day, you came, a child, to lead the way. Help us, as children to submit as you, and obediently seek Thy will to do.
