He called me papa

#He_called_me_papa "father"
Something in me shifted
Leaking tears of long void
Dripping through pores of my soul
Life hadn't handled me with glove hands
Being a father, was the ultimate dream

In his purest voice,
he brought life to my long burried dream
A chance to fatherhood
Felt sparkles disassembling in my brains
Swapping and stretching in my bones
A dream was fulfilled

He called me papa
When the world has already certified me barren
When I have constantly looked for an excuse to not answer, whenever asked, when are you having your own child

Pleaded with both my knees and palms
To God and my ancestors
Years in and years out
The prayer felt like a broken record
Lost all hopes

When he called me papa,
Something in me was brought to life
Felt pain and disappointment leaving my body
In his voice I felt alive
Accepted
Appreciated
Repurposed
Reborn

Wanna go back to my knees and palms
And say, your timing was never delayed
But certain, certain for is valid and worthy.
Wanna hold gently her mother's hand
And say thank you
Thank you for seeing in me what I certified dead in me, thank you for seeing me worthy to be a father
To be called papa, to be valued and to matter

Thank you for not only choosing me
But for loving me enough, trusting me enough
And for sacrificing yourself for me

He called me papa
It felt warm, fitting
And gratifying

He called me papa
Like any child would to his father
Like any parent who be proud to be
He called me papa and still to date
Echoes of his voice still soothes me to sleep since
feeling fulfilled, hournered
And valued

Him calling me papa
Made me, feel belonging
Fitting and complete
I say he called me papa
For in me, that's everything
