Hazy Haiku
Smoky atmosphere
In ashy skies;
Moody express

Haze seeds craze
Smog ash depress;
Sun beams absent
~~~~~~~~~
September haze
Overflows here;
October fest?
~~~~~~~~~
Clouds of haze
Brings a new maze;
People feel daze
~~~~~~~~~
Smoky haze floats
Ash painted sky;
Blurry nightmare
~~~~~~~~~
Smell the fresh air
Smell of peat fires;
Smell smelly drift
~~~~~~~~~
Even the rain
Cannot bring change;
Wet ashy gloom
~~~~~~~~~
Style for a while
Hazy haiku;
What else is new?

October sifts
Ash pollutants;
Airy retreat
~~~~~~~~~
Haze brings dis-ease
Words can be cheap;
Burning a way
~~~~~~~~~
No comfort here
Not in good cheer;
Windy haze debris
~~~~~~~~~
Jest if you must
In haze we trust;
Ash sandwiched crust!

Haze in a daze
Craze in full haze;
Haste gone to waste
~~~~~~~~~
Clear skies
Sun beams;
Silver linings
