Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Choirs of children singing gleefully
Hand bells and ‘Silver Bells’ ringing
Red holly and mistletoe ‘Deck the Halls’
In preparation for Christmas morning
Snowflakes teasing a ‘White Christmas’
Traditions followed and being made
Midnight Mass along with hugs and kisses
Angelic ‘Silent Night’ throughout the land
Solemn celebration of the birth of Jesus
Children productions of nativity watched
All praying for peace on earth and good will
Ritual reading of ‘Jolly Old St. Nicholas’ to those
Only staying awake from excitement and thrill
Listening for Santa's reindeer landing on roof
Smiling parents leave cookie crumbs as proof
