Have You Heard
Have you heard Earth singing as Springtime waltzes in ?
Or when Autumn clothes herself in glory and kisses her mortal kin ?
Can you hear the Angel Chorus when Ma Nature awakens the Summer Sun?.
Then turns on her stunning "nite lights" when day labor is done?
Surely you've heard the heart of a child burst forth in song
At the first fall of a Winter's snow that she played in all day long?
Did you hear the winds whistling joyfully when the rain's came
And chattering birds fluttering to and fro
And the laughter of the children running barefoot
Through rain puddles as you used to long ago?
Oh how sweet the song you should have heard when Johnny returned from War
And when the fever broke and baby Sarah became her jolly self once more.
