Have You Ever

Have you ever sat on a fence
And watched the birds fly by?
Have you ever looked through a lens
At the bedazzling night sky?
Ever thought about the pens
That trudged the great pages of history
Or the darkness that now shrouds the mind in mystery?

Have you ever wandered ashore
Close beside the roaring sea?
Have you ever pondered a whore
Her pride like a burning tree?
Ever considered before
The futility of passive continuity
In exclusively-independent, multilateral loops of parsevity?...
