Have You Completed Anything Yet

She had talked her uncle into being her money patron at last.
He encouraged her to purchase skeins of yarn; it was a blast!
She kept telling him that she was making something for him.
She would have one idea, then go off on another whim.

Have you finished anything? He asked her after sixteen years.
That she was only wasting his yarn money was one of his fears.
So, she came out wearing a hat with skeins of yarn on her head.
Speechless was her former patron, her annoyed Uncle Ted.

L Milton Hankins August 27, 2022 at 8:22 AM I have bags of yarn that Deb never did anything with. She'd buy the yarn with the best of intentions, but never seemed to finish a project. I have a granddaughter who crochets. She adores yarn!

Linda Alice Fowler August 27, 2022 at 6:23 AM Gosh Caren. This strikes home with me. I currently have no less than five crochet and embroidery projects started (Christmas). Scary! I do finish them. I just get bored with one and switch to another for awhile. It's that mercurial streak I have ;) LOL Caren Krutsinger August 28, 2022 at 1:11 AM I get bored too, which is why I work on 10-21 paintings at the same time.
