Have you come, O humanity, to your perfection

Has the pulse in my chest calmed down today? For long I've not smiled, joy kept at bay. I can't laugh amidst the mirthful throng, Though in the midst of the joyful song. Wisdom is cheap, but laughter is meeting rare, Words lose their worth; everyone seems unaware. Since sand turned to mountains, Nothing I've eaten has settled inside. The singer spoke, pretending to lead the way, What’s the worth of a falcon to a sparrow, I say? Not discerning the noble from the rot situation, Have you come, O humanity, to your perfection?
