Have You?

Have you ever really listened to the wind?
Sounds of the earth’s tears
As they mourn the gradual demise
Of the earth’s beauty, it’s offering.

Have you ever really seen the rain?
Physical cleansing of the earth
Eliminating filth and depravity
The reasons for its suffering.

Have you ever observed the sunrise?
The daily, most glorious event
That allows us all to appreciate
And dream of tomorrow.

Or, have you only kept your eyes shut,
Denying you the pleasure
Of the entire world’s gifts and glory,
Allowing you only sorrow?
