Have we ever searched for God deep within
Knowing not how, yet choosing to begin
The vast void, mirroring our reflection
Amplifying our pure heart’s affection
Call of love divine, inviting us in
Employing free will, to silence thought din
Rising above narrow pathways of sin
Surrendering, for our resurrection
Have we ever
Choice of heart over head, ego’s chagrin
Resonating with soul, melding therein
Erst feral cravings facing ejection
Continuous consciousness correction
Tranquil always, whether we lose or win
