Have I Ever Told You That

I'D LIKE TO LEAVE ME

 I’d like to leave me;
But where would I go?
The outside and inside
They both each other know.

I'll just be around here
If I really need me.
Wrapped up in attitude,
A feisty me to be.

I’m having a breakup,
I’m reaching for the stars
Forget all that nonsense.
So and so is from Mars.

I’ll chart my Diva Course
Just morals to follow.
Make a new effort,
Try to save a dollar.

I’m walking in footsteps
Left on my heart and soul
I’m going to kick butt
Be I ever so bold.

Not who you think I am
Who you’d like me to be.
I’m free of your judgments
For I know God likes me.

Out I’ll go tomorrow
I’m facing life anew.
Relearning how to live
With me…..without you!
