Have All the Poems Been Written

have all the poems been written
have all the words been said
have all the rhymes been used over time
until there's nothing left

have all the ideas faded
nearly impossible now to find
with no way for them to say it
leaving all the poets in a poetic bind

have all the chances been given
to display the perfect line
years of insisting now one of the missing
hidden in broad daylight

have all the poems been written
in one form or another 
now a no show giving little hope
there's more to be discovered
