Haunts
Elevated
Headdressed
floated above the field hay
sticking to her feet
risen
by static electricity
hair floating red in an arc
full breasted open mouthed
she called to him with words
you could not utter
things you would not give him
or say
although you knew
where his heart lay
your marital cruelty expanded
but then he knew there was a woman who could love
him
look at the field
and down the hall
she haunts you still
