HAUNTING SEASON

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ crisp leaf-rustle sound~ was that a step behind me? just the wind, unmasked. porch pumpkin grins wide, candle-glow sinks into seeds— dark chews the last light. frost sketches the pane: ghost-trees reach with brittle bones... winter whispers soon.
Great one with such deep meaning. Sometimes getting older and knowing death is approaching is quite that scary. Thanks for sharing this one with us. It reminds me that I have emotions. Sara K
