Haunting Face

I rot away in agony...
Will you release me from this torment?
Missing your touch... Seeps deep in my very bones...
I am devoured by your haunting face...

Were these sweet dreams that I remember even real?
For bearing these heavy burdens of our love...crushes me...
Little by little everyday the fairy tale fades away...
Your smile once lit up the horizon... now lay barren, tossed out to sea...
I am devoured... by your haunting face...

That's the idea of poetry, and then we also learn from life experiences how to better judge the true values of whats important in life and love, we even learn to see true beauty, differently!

Arthur, thank you. I was feeling sad when I wrote this. But I get a sense of peace and release when I put into words how I feel. Meg
