Haunted

Death’s inside
Food is killing me I think
The cure hates my guts

Last night During the storm
I captured a photo of a lightning bolt
Shredding the sky apart
It tore a hole
into the face of the Atlantic

And I understood
Felt
Whatever’s wrong inside
Is the way its meant
To be.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Your words really stayed with me. I could feel the weight of the struggle, but also the quiet strength in the ending. Keep writing from that honest place, your voice has the power to reach people who may feel the same way.
