Hateful Love

They say that love is more powerful than hate. I dare not put that to the test. Hate is like a fire, While love is the smoke. The fire burns within the flesh, While the smoke spreads, Burning deep within the lungs. They are both equally as powerful, And both leave scars. Love is more dangerous, For we take caution of the fire, Not the smoke. It isn't until the smoke burns our lungs That we realize its potential. The fire is what lures among our nightmares, Posing an immediate threat.
