Well, this one certainly gives me pause to consider what her egregious offense was, and then to wonder if the Vicar was really offended. Would he tip his hat if he were? Did he smile while doing so? Was there some indiscretion going on? All useless questions that no one but you can answer in truth, but I'll just allow my imagination to wander along the paths and draw my own conclusion. That's probably what you hope your readers do anyway... yes?
