Haste!

How painful it is to fall
Mind I am lost
Please rescue me!
Haste! For stranded I stand
Upon shores bemused
Alongside the sea
Haste! Haste!
Lest I choose to swim
And lie beneath what no eye can see

Compare approach to “Heart, we will forget him!”
                                                                              By Emily Dickinson

So much packed into this concise poem giving the reader something to ponder. The fast pace of the lines work well to convey your thoughts. Thank you for sharing your talent with us and for your kind words on my poem. Keep on writing! Karen
