Has Anyone Ever Told You

Has anyone ever told you

Has anyone
ever told you

That your eyes

Are like diamonds

Because they do
sparkle like
the radiant stars

And your spirit
has always been
as comforting
and as soft as
a gentle stream
in the spring time

Because you
have a warm
and caring soul

That is as vibrant
and as
colorful as rainbows

And if no one has
ever told you
these things before

This is just a
friendly reminder

From me to you
to let you know

That you are all
these beautiful things

And so much more

Because these
are all the things

That truly defines
who you are

And that’s why

I am so grateful

Because I feel
so blessed

To know that I have
a friend that is
as special as you are

Because whether you
know it or not

In my eyes you have
always
had a beautiful soul

This would be a great Valentine for the one that you love. Keep the creative and love pen flowing. Sara

The eyes are said to be the windows to our souls, Dean. When we find the happiness you describe just by looking into someone's "radiant stars," we have the opportunity for lasting love. I like the way you indicate she may or may not know how special she is. That often seems to be the case so we should make every attempt to let our feelings show. A beautiful poem, Dean! Uplifting and inspiring for the reader. Love, Carolyn
