Harvest Moon Nights

Sweet summer is kissing goodbye,
embracing the harvest moon nights,
summer birds bid adieu and fly,
sweet summer is kissing goodbye,
earth’s bosom heavy with a sigh,
tears of maple glow in moonlight,
sweet summer is kissing goodbye,
embracing the harvest moon nights.

Hello Vandana, nicely said and beautifully written. Sadly we didn’t have much of a summer here, sad to see it go. Have a great day.

Lovely work! As the reader pauses for a moment to consider the ephemeral beauty of the seasons in our lives, the rhythmic return of the triolet cadence washes over us like the ebb and flow of ocean waves — soothing, yet tinged with the inevitability of time’s passage. Your night imagery casts a dreamy glow over the piece, lifting it into a space that feels both serene and profound, transporting the reader into a dreamscape where repetition feels comforting yet quietly bound to time’s inevitable advance.

Thank you for your warm and kind words. I have been on PS for around 8-9 years, but wasn't active.
