Harvest Ground
They came amidst the silhouettes
Of out stretched brush
Darting lights pressed against the night
Flickering reflections
Recalling memories
Of a child’s summers
Spent netting Fireflies
Along the riverside
Claiming places loosely hinged
To a minds active footing
Against a backdrop of fears
That modern had washed away
What past grounds had grown
Beguiled them to Obsolescence
Under a current of timely things
A smiles immortal child
Never more near then forgotten
Save there along the riverside
Of dancing Lights
