Harp's Reverie

I daub the dewy strings with tickles, soft,

Thus, angels such as I make dance, the rain ...

For heaven's weep is joyous, shed aloft,

Our harps, the dulcet pardon to your pain.

As every drop that tumbles from our strings,

Holds all that life requires to abound ...

How wondrous that each tremble wetly sings,

Of every hope a cloudburst can resound.

Greg, a lovely paean to rain, the sustainer of life, falling like manna from heaven. "Our harps, the dulcet pardon to your pain". Glorious.

Thank you so much, John ... as I recall this was a prompt, and had to be from the first-person perspective of being an angel ... I'm more of a "fallen" angel, lol, so it was a bit of a stretch for me. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable project, and I'm glad you found it worthy, my friend! :o)

Thank you so much, Kim - it seemed it might be a fun direction to go with it, (and maybe a bit unexpected). You know me ... I'm rather odd, lol! ;-) <3
