Harm

Midnight dancer, shaking and grinding the night away
Riding solo, riding on the back of winds
Not all the stares in the world make her stay
Or get her out of the boundary she's in

Walking a path untouched and forever made lonely
Blessing and curse, magnificent creations born
Escaping embraces and all that is holy
Before the other half of her hope is torn

Let go of it already, foolish girl don't give in
Accept the inevitable and then walk on by
Let mistakes be made in confined sin
So, those unrealistic fantasies can slowly die

There was a time and place where it seemed in reach
The impossible made sparkly and floral like paradise
Now, her lips are only used for the preach
And to seek others love and empathize

I can save myself, I don't need a hero
I don't need a knight in shining armor
Before you tried, you should've known
How crucial it was not to harm her

Very nice write Chayle...The hardest part is letting it go...hope you make it to the other side unscathed.
