Hark the Herald
Pretty pink sunset
I've got you on my mind
I long for you to be here
To share this late day find
It's one thing we've in common
Amongst many other things
We like to view the sunset
In a way it's like it sings
A brilliant colored cadence
The coda for the day
Heralding the terminator
In deepening shades of gray
Separating day from night
Soon it will be dark
The perfect time for holding hands
And looking at the stars
Gaze out into space with me
The distances so vast
Until I reach the end of it
My love for you will last
I hope to see you later
In my ever present dreams
Of you and I together
If you could only see me beam
