Hard Story

I wish you could
See past my eyes,
Into my mind,
And through my lies.

I don't know why,
It's just too hard.
No matter how
many times I try.

I cannot tell you,
I can't express.
The way I feel
is such a mess.

Thank you Michael. Yes, I think it has become a lot easier to express myself. Writing was a way for me to privately express myself when I was younger, as I was the only person to read almost anything I ever wrote. But over time I've found other mediums of expression wherein I'm willing and able to share my emotions with (special) others, while at the same time being a recipient of them sharing theirs. I've found performing arts, music, photography, & people I feel safe/comfortable with to do so.

A very trying time in life to be a teen, the time you question everything. This poem reflects that emotion well, it flows well, strong emotion asnd message. Good work. Judy Riley

Has it gotten easier? I hope so. You expressed yourself very well for a 14 year old. Excellent writing. Michael
