Hard Knock Life

HARD KNOCK LIFE

Today thoughts are uncontrollably flying in my head
Pounding as they crush land

And they are all in assortment
Not a single one is an entertainment

Ringing like a patient on some strong drug
As I lay on my old rag

I have got to get out and be free
Can I go with this thought from these many thoughts of craziness

Indulging to have me have ecstasy on crack
Trust me, I can easily get a pack

Don't judge me nor should you judge anyone
We all have been here
Trapped and in fear

In a house whose windows are shuttered
Doors tattered

Vulnerable
No hope for tomorrow
It's a hard knock life
Always pushing this wheel barrow
For a penny to heal my hunger

Am I exaggerating when I say things are hard and am hard hit
My pit has never been this darkest
Worse still deepest!
