Hard Candy

Let the broken leaves be if you can’t pick them up; They’ll crackle into art; Hard candy is so strong, you knew that from the start; Let the broken leaves be, don’t disturb their solace; Didn’t bring anything except a heavy weight; Please, keep right on going; Let the broken leaves be those who get chin music; Blood sits under their nails; Never needed the help that laid waste to entrails.
