Happy World Poetry Day Dear Poet!

               You're a blessing, and this special day must show it
                      
                         Your heart and mind just radiate

                      Through pen and ink, we'll celebrate

                  Delicious morsels from heart's pen makes

                     Sweeter things than cookies, cakes!

               Shakespeare's pen, and Dickenson, Stevenson

                                And every one........

                        The poet's pen of yesteryears

                   The joy, the rant, the hopes or tears    

                        And you! The poet reading this

                         Pen your words in faithfulness

                You're honored, 'cross the globe, hurray!

                        Oh, Happy World Poetry Day!

I hope to remember it in time next year in March, as it occurs the 21st every year. It is a precious honor. I want to really celebrate it, and maybe even choose a sweet little cafe and invite poet friends to join in reading famous poems, honoring the greats :) I dream too big, but I truly want to celebrate it as much as any holiday!

It is celebrated every year on March 21st, and begun in Paris I believe in the 1990's if I remember reading it right. Well, I want to take note of it and maybe host a celebration contest next year! I wish I'd known of it earlier :) <3

I was so blessed :) We all need to be aware of it, and next year I hope we really celebrate it here on PoetrySoup, the poets here are to be celebrated for certain :)
