Happy Vs Sad

Why do some folk always smile While others only frown One of the great mysteries We never may find out Is it a run on circumstances Or differences of heart Taken from what life hands us That denotes who we are The one that's happy with surroundings Or the one that groans and gripes Have you ever stopped to wonder Which one you are in life They say the happy ones live longer Is it because the sad don't care Instead of on life's bus they're under Waiting to be dragged away from here With me being one of the happy ones I have yet to figure out Why some are always smiling While others only frown ...makes me sad to think about

My Mom is a perfect example of being upbeat and smiley; she's still in the hospital up in NY for low sodium level in her body but she is smiling most of the time despite all her health issues! If you look up the word smiley in the dictionary a pic of my Mom should be there!~Che :)

I am nicknamed Smiley because I smile way too much I was told. But I have to say there were times I didn't smile at all when my heart was broken when I lost few important people in my life. But some people are just pure miserable. Lol! Nice poem I enjoyed it very much :)

Sure made me smile mike - when I was about 19 I worked in an office and used to have to take the mail to the post office ... one day I was later than usual and standing in the queue behind a very tall man - I heard the guy behind the counter say ' where is she, the elfin one who is always smiling' then I discovered they were talking about me lol:-) hugs jan xx

I know, Mike! I don't understand it either! Why not be lighthearted? More understandable if live's grief has you down but that is not everyone's readon. I'm smiling, my friend!
