Happy To Be Born a Human
I wonder what I was before…
A crystal ball could tell me more
Was I a queen and lost my crown
Looking on others with a frown
Really selfish beyond compare?
Fame now gone ’cause I didn’t care?
Or did I make the best of life
No matter the pain or the strife
Living as animal or tree
Accepting what fate had for me
Once lived poor with a life of pain
Given a better chance once again.
If reincarnation is true
How you live on is up to you
You might be a snail or mouse
If in this life you are a louse
But if you are thoughtful and kind
A new existence you won’t mind.
For this trip around I have won
Happy to be born a human!
