Happy Road

Used to spend a lot of time
On the hunt for happiness 
Thinking it was something
I could catch and harness 

But I called off the search 
As came to the realization 
Happiness resides on the road
And is not found at the destination 

Chances to taste it along the way
In the slices of life where it lives
If we slow down and be present
To savor joy the journey gives
