Happy New Year ! ( Acrostic.)

Herald this passing- a year dead and done,
And you bid welcome to what is year one.
Passion and promise- not all taking root.
Points left to ponder- not all bearing fruit.
Yea, complications turn sparkling wine sour.

Not just to wallow in things dark and dour,
Every clock ticking possesses the power
Where every second can be your great hour.

Yet, it remains for the Fates to decide
Each future moment, embrace or deride.
As this day brings forth the bombastic seer,
Remember, for you, all endings draw near.

We have to remember that "every second can be (our) great hour" and make the most of each day. News Years is always a time for recalling what has been and hoping for better days in the future, but we seem to forget this spirit during the rest of the year. Well done, my friend. Very thoughtful poem! Love, Carolyn
