Happy Is Free

New boat, flash car, grand house, T.V.,
None of it means a thing.
None of it will make you particularly happy,
Won’t make you dance, jump, twirl or sing.

There are ten things, though, in life,
That you don’t need money for.
And these will make you super happy,
Regardless if you’re rich or poor.

Good manners are always valuable,
And morals are important too.
Respect and character with common sense,
Will make folks start admiring you.

And trust is free, patience is cheap,
And class won’t cost a thing.
Wrap this all in a hug of love, and then,
You’ll smile, dance, twirl, laugh and sing.

I like this poem, Lewis. They may be free but not everyone takes advantage of that fact.
