Happy Fourth
Rub the rib and brush the breast,
Sear the steak and smoke the rest.
Shuck the corn and cheese the Mac,
And have a little heart attack.
Snap the beans and wash the greens,
lose the belt or wear loose jeans.
Spit the seeds and crank the churn,
Just don’t let the cornbread burn.
Cook the cobbler, shave the ice,
Sweet tea, lemonade are nice.
Happy 4th, Fourth of July,
And don’t forget the apple pie!
