Happy Birthday To You Lily

Happy Birthday
To you Lily—
Who says ‘You’ are not here?

I can see you in every goodness
You are as sweet and fragrant
As the flower that gave you its name

You are a little angel
That descended on earth
You are the epitome of love

People who think you are gone
May even say:
“Rest in Peace”

But that is not for me…
I know people like you
Never die

You are the kindest soul
That walked this earth
How can you ever go?

Every deed of yours
Is an act of kindness
You are very much here on earth

I offer you a bunch of lilies
With much love and fond hope
That your tribe multiplies on earth

This is my humble
Tribute to you,
My child

May many more Lilies be born
Of your kind spirit
And, may you live forever…

I wish you a Happy Birthday
Once again
For I know you are here somewhere
