Happy and Free

I'm going to free my mind, I'm going to leave the blues
behind. I'm going to be happy and free, because the sun
is shining on me. I'm going to dance in the sky, way up
where the eagles fly. I'm going to sing a happy tune,
as sweet as the month of June. I won't let my troubles
bring me down, I'm going to burst their bubbles. I'm
going to swing on a rainbow, that's a place where
they can never go. Why don't you come with me, learn
how to be happy and free. I'm as gentle as a dove, as
easy as an ocean breeze. You don't have to ask me
please, because I never tease. I'm going to be happy
and free, because that's the way I want to be.

It's said that being positive ignites joy and I believe this, Jack. The joy you feel comes shining through your poem. I enjoyed reading this. Enjoy your weekend! Love, Annalise
