Happy 2017 Everyone
The Christmas things are put away,
packed up and stored out of sight.
Time for starting a brand new year
as we watch the old one taking flight.
All the hopes and resolutions made
as we greet this anticipated new year.
Prayers for health and happiness
and a world where no one lives in fear.
Push aside all negative thoughts.
Forgive unspoken apologies too.
Hold no grudges, go forward now,
for we, as well as the year, are new.
