Happiness Within

People say I never smile
My enthusiasm is rather mild
Stoic is my style

Mister gray and gloomy
Somewhat blue and moody
But I answer phooey

Don't judge a book by its cover
Turn the pages
Who knows what you'll discover
Joy resides in
Happiness within my friend
Happiness within my friend

Being silly is not my way
Seriousness
Dose not mean Johnny never plays
A false smile chills all hearts
Forced joy makes all depart
Goofy action leads to retraction
Just be yourself for joyful satisfaction

Friends and family they know
You may not be a Happy Old Joe
But happiness within
Lets' true love begin
And when you smile
Its always worthwhile

Sounds like my husband...he remains quiet and stoic on the outside, but inside is warm and a happy man. Well said! ~ Carrie
