Hanging On To Hope

I can’t stop thinking about you
How loving you were to me
The warmth that came across your face
To penetrate my eyes with your beautiful eyes
The smile and laughter that stole my heart
Our bodies together- our love

I can’t stop thinking about you
Taking all my time with you before it all goes away
The love I have for you is true
So I grabbed all the time I could have with you
Before the tide turned to gloom

I can’t stop thinking of you
I don’t want this to slip away
Hanging on to hope

Did she die? Did you break up? Are you fearful that you will lose even the memory of times with her? I don't mean to sound dense, but the poem doesn't say.

Thanks for your comment. This is a release, sometimes in real time emotions, feelings, rawness. These writings are for me and if you read them take them for what they are. Words. As I’m not a writer, poet. Maybe this poem doesn’t say what happened because perhaps it’s in limbo at the time.
