HANDS UP If you're involved a witness of a bank or store robbery The man/men with guns in their hands What do they say to you Hands up Git o'ver there Sometimes may even say git on the floor Surrender your freedom For just a minute I'm the criminal Shut up, be still so I can do my business Gonna git me this money git yo Hands up As this criminal yells and scream all of this It's my fondest wish please Lord don't let him hurt me He can have even all of my money He's still yell'N empty your purses and wallet Git on the floor quiet, shut up Hands up Git o'ver there Sometimes may even say git on the floor Surrender your freedom For just a minute Yo, you go to the gym for exercise Trying to lose some weight so U won't die from genocide You can run but you can't hide Personal trainer telling run in place move them thighs Do them jumping jacks, stop running you can't hide—git yo Hands up Rise them hands up Git them hands up Hands up, git your hands up Hands up See how easy it is, to raise your hands up under these circumstances But when it comes to the Lord you hands are to your side your embarrassed So if a criminal whose gonna harm you, rob you Personal trainer yells, hollers and embarrasses you Military personal scares you tells you to salute him/her Just were does your hands go, you salute hands in the air Just why won't you take them same hands and salute the Lord our God Hands up Git o'ver here Sometimes we all need to git on the floor Surrender our sins not freedoms Just a minute I'm no longer a criminal, I've been forgiven I'll shut up, be so I can do my the Lord's business Gonna git my my praise on... git yo Hands up 4/21/10 Written words by James Edward Lee Sr.©2010
