Halting
"Where did the sun go?!" he asked.
She looked at him for a moment,
and replied,
"You'll find the sun at the beach".
He had his summer shorts on,
yet it was autumn. The trees
had shed a lot of leaves,
much more than the teardrops
on her face.
He had forgotten what love was,
how it felt to love, how it felt
to be loved....
He had forgotten everything that
came with time,
in the name of creation.
It hadn't always been like that;
there were four seasons before,
but then autumn dominated
everything, and everywhere
around the couple.
The lake was still;
the air was very silent;
birds hid in their nests;
Gaia was taking time to heal...
