Halloween Night

Long ago, a group of friends and me went to
the cemetery on a Halloween night.

It was so creepy, and the winds were strong
on that horror-packed evening.

I didn’t believe in ghosts until I came face to
face with one.

It looked like a zombie in every scary movie
but much worse.

I had never been so frightened in my life, and I
gave an oscar worthy performance by acting
all brave.

I noticed it was eerily quiet on that full moon
night.
I slowly turned around to see my friends but
to my surprise, there was no one in sight.

So I started running like my life was on the line
I had superhuman speed.

I didn’t look back for a second, and I heard the
ghost/zombie laughing like Vicent Price did on
the Thriller video.

I got some new friends and never hung out nor
talked to the ones that abandoned me so long
ago.

I really enjoyed your spooky story Alexis. I have enjoyed visiting graveyards in England and in Ireland during the day. Some date back hundreds of years and they’re very interesting. Of course I am always very respectful as not to anger the spirits. I have seen a ghost or two but they were friendly. Blessings xxoo

That was a brave move, I haven't unfortunately been to my parents graves for two years because vagrants are living throughout the cemetery and attacks on people and vandalism of the graves is rife. Very sad but a grave fact! Hugs and blessings my friend across the pond, Jenny.

I’d have done the same Alexis if my friends had left me in the dark of a cemetery having come face to face with a ghost…. Belle

Many members of my family say they have seen ghosts. I never saw one and hope I never do. A good creepy tale for the Halloween season. God Bles, JB

I lived in Dark Shadows (next to the cemetery) on Fort Apache Indian Reservation, so no need for a TV! Try looking for Tom's Lady in White! Aloha!

Whoa!! Those were not true friends were they. Enjoyed reading your work. This must be for a contest because I have seen several others with the same title if so reads like a good contender to me. Way to go. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

Very apt for the season, Alexis. A ghost story well told my friend. For sure you needed to rid those friends that ran leaving you behind.
