Halloween Is Here At Last

Red and blue, yellow and white
fireworks light up the night.
Halloween is here at last.
By the moon, clouds scurry past.

Trick-or-treaters in disguise
watch the show with eager eyes.
Bonfires are lit and stories told,
guaranteed to scare the bold.

Owls hoot, black cats prowl,
listen... hear the werewolf growl.
Everyone likes a bit of a scare
as the bonfire's smoke fills the air.

Witches, goblins, vampires too
gather together, shouting... "BOO !"
Halloween is here at last
and like the fireworks, gone too fast.

Little kiddies look forward to this holiday almost as much as they look forward to Christmas. They love all the goodies they can get by going door to door wearing a costume. Good way to write about this holiday.

this is VERY nice, Francine. And wow, with fireworks too? WE don't do that here!
