Halloween Blue Moon
My time is coming near to full
I wait in the shadows
Of full moons past
The Halloween moon pull
on Metonic time
Rises full once every
Nineteen years
To raise the night liquid
Ghouls to roam
Through shrouds of blight
Outlined stark
Against a demon night
Blackened crow flies
A warning in slow circles
My heart in a waiting chant
As my time to light all hallows eve
Creeps across baron souls
Erected witches fly
Shielded from scornful glance
To stir desires blazing fire
The ancient’s rites to dance
Circles ringed in candlelight blood
As the mist rises to grab
My soul the glorious passing arc
Too soon fades into morning
My shadow life to start counting
The days and nights to harvest true
October moon blue
